mukti noun
muk·ti ˈmu̇ktē मुक्ति in Devanagari
Mukti signifies spiritual liberation, empowerment and independence. It embodies the idea of freeing individuals from social and economic challenges, promoting dignity and harmony. Through ethical practices in the clothing industry and dedicated support for disadvantaged local communities, Mukti strives to foster balance and create meaningful change.

Our Production
Every piece is produced in a small-scale factory in the south of Sri Lanka, where fair pay and safe working conditions for local workers are at the heart of our ethos. Our now production base, was founded nearly three decades ago by the courageous and ambitious Damanyanthi and her daughter. With just a handful of sewing machines and a team of four in a home-based factory, they laid the foundation for what Mukti and WE FLOW offer today. Our collaboration focuses on providing opportunities for single mothers, individuals with disabilities and local families facing challenges. By equipping people with the tools to work from home, Damayanthi creates opportunities for financial independence while enabling them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
We are proud to work together and be part of a testament of the transformative power of courage, community and compassion. From sourcing to manufacturing, we prioritise minimal waste and support local businesses, creating clothing that's as kind to people as it is to the planet.
